Diamond PTO Board & Volunteer Team

Many Hands Make Light Work

Diamond PTO is built around shared leadership, manageable volunteer roles, and lots of ways to help.

You don’t need PTO experience. You don’t need to attend every meeting. And you definitely don’t need to take on a huge job.

Help with one event, one project, or throughout the year - it all counts.

PTO Leadership

PTO Strategy & Community Director — Olivia Kelley

Coordinates with Diamond administration, supports PTO teams, oversees communications and outreach, and helps keep PTO priorities, fundraising, membership, and events moving forward.

Treasurer — Andre Klamas

Oversees PTO budgeting, banking, reimbursements, financial reporting, and event finances.

Want to help? We’d love occasional finance support with receipts, reimbursements, budgeting, or event reconciliation.

Communications & Digital

Membership Toolkit Lead — Candice Del Rio

Helps manage PTO membership, directory information, family data, email communications, and online registrations.

Help Wanted: We’d love another parent to learn Membership Toolkit alongside Candice.

Newsletter Team — Help Wanted

Help create our streamlined weekly PTO newsletter with quick headlines, important dates, and links.

Time: About 30–60 minutes/week — and easily shared by two people.

Website & Marketing — Help Wanted

Help with website updates, event pages, flyers, QR codes, Canva graphics, and event promotion.

Perfect for someone who likes helping behind the scenes and from home.

Events & Community

Events Team - Liz Dang Ryan & Leng Diamond

We’d love more parents to join them on this year's plans that include:

  • 6th Grade Welcome Social

  • NEW Fall Fundraiser

  • Celtics Nights

  • Winter community events

  • 6th & 7th Grade End-of-Year Socials

  • 8th Grade Graduation & End-of-Year Celebrations

You don't have to run an event. Help with food, registration, decorations, marketing, setup, cleanup, or just a few hours on event day.

Fundraising

Fall Fundraiser Team — Help wanted

We’re launching a new fundraiser this fall, and Olivia would love a co-pilot to help with communications, promotion, participation, and prizes.

Best part: Most of the work is concentrated between now and the end of September.

Green Team

Green Team Lead — Help Wanted

Supports practical sustainability efforts at Diamond, from reducing event waste to helping students with composting and recycling.

Help for an hour or join throughout the year.

Grade-Level Parent Reps

6th, 7th & 8th Grade Reps — Help Wanted

Be a friendly connector for your grade - welcome families, share PTO information, spread the word about events, and bring ideas back to the PTO.

We’d love multiple parents per grade, especially new 6th-grade families, so this stays an easy, low-lift role.

School & Community Liaisons

METCO Representative — Anita Smith

Helps connect the PTO with Diamond's METCO community and shares events, opportunities, and updates.

We also welcome parents interested in serving as connections to:

LHS • SEPAC • LEF • Safe Routes to School • Student Health Advisory Council

Come Join Us!

No PTO experience required. No giant commitment expected.

Help once. Take on a small project. Join a team. Or come to a meeting and see what we're all about.

We'd love to have you.
