At Diamond Middle School, the PTO is more than just a parent group - we’re a community of families working together to support students, teachers, staff, and the school we all care deeply about.
Our goal is simple: Help make Diamond a connected, welcoming, supportive, and fun place for students and families alike.
We also know middle school families are busy, which is why we’re working hard to build a PTO culture that feels collaborative, flexible, and manageable - with lots of ways for people to jump in, help out, and stay connected.
Everything we do is powered by two things:
Families who volunteer their time
Families who support the PTO financially through memberships and donations
Both are incredibly important, and together they make possible the programs, events, resources, and community experiences we’re able to offer throughout the year.
Here’s What We Do:
Keep Families Connected
We share weekly newsletters and updates about what’s happening at Diamond and around Lexington, maintain PTO directories, and help families stay informed and engaged throughout the school year.
Support Teachers, Staff & Students
We help fund teacher grants, student activities, after-school clubs, staff appreciation efforts, and provide additional support for initiatives that help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Build Community
From student socials and Movie Nights to Celtics events, teacher appreciation lunches, and community gatherings, we help create opportunities for students and families to connect beyond the school day.
Support School Initiatives
We work closely with Diamond Administration, teachers, Student Council, and community partners to help support school goals, strengthen communication, and create a positive school culture.
Create Flexible Ways to Get Involved
Not everyone wants to chair a giant committee - and that’s okay.
Some parents help at one event.
Some organize behind the scenes.
Some help with spreadsheets, newsletters, snacks, fundraising, composting, or setup.
Some just want to meet more Diamond families and stay connected.
There’s room for all of it here.
Everything we do - student socials, teacher grants, community events, staff appreciation efforts, clubs, communications, and enrichment opportunities - is made possible through PTO memberships, donations, and volunteers.
Every contribution - whether it’s time, energy, ideas, or financial support - helps strengthen the Diamond community for students, families, and staff.
